The location of the Aryaduta Hotel is the best in Makassar. A stroll across the road to the harbour/ foreshore. The complimentary breakfast caters for all palets be they Euro or Asian, as does the a la carte menu. The thing that stood out for me at this hotel though was the staff from the desk to the wait staff and housekeeping they were all the friendliest I have come across in all my years of travel. I stayed here for close to 2 weeks because I enjoyed it that much.

Probably one of the best places to stay in Makassar due to the amazing views and great location. Refined and old fashioned hotel by the sea, overlooking the city's landmarks. The restaurant and room service is available 24/7 and the staff are great. A lot of options for breakfast too!

Due to a delayed flight, we could only get to the hotel the morning after our check-in date. Despite this the hotel staff were very accomodating and ensured that we could still use the booking and gave us a free very late check out. We were so grateful for the kindness of the staff. all staff were extremely friendly/

The staff on reception and the porters helping with transportation and luggage were amazing going above and beyond their duties. Although sometimes me speaking English was tricky, everyone did their utmost to help!
